Free Ways to Earn Money From Home Part III
When I started my series on way to earn money from home for free, I was surprised at the lack of response that I received from the readers and was going to end the series early since nobody was apparently interested and I didn't feel that I was helping anyone.
However, my Step-Mother applied to a company that I had posted in one of the earlier articles and she was hired. She is going to be working 15 to 20 hours a week and earning roughly $200. She was thrilled and couldn't wait to tell me all about her Work at Home adventures.
So I am continuing my Free Work at Home articles and I hope that I am helping someone find a real way to earn money from home..

Is Cathy Banks' AuctionWorkatHome.com a scam?
Auction Work at Home by Cathy Banks is a brand new course being delivered to a mailbox near you today. The ad claims that she can show you how to make extra money from home with no prior experience, education, or special skills.
When you visit the site you will be informed that you must join her auction work at home program "right now" before all available spots are full. OK we all know that is not true, I don’t know anyone that will turn away a paying customer because all slots are full. Seriously, this is just marketing BS, so before you invest $197 make sure you do your research.
Basically the program promises to train you as an auction entry specialist. According to Cathy Banks there are thousands of companies who will pay you to process their eBay auction listings simply because they don't want to do it themselves.
Through Auction Work at Home you will be given access to a wholesaling website with over one million products to choose from. She also says that for each listing that you post you will be paid $13, and that's all you have to do.
At first glance this seems like a legitimate home business opportunity and really a simple way to make some money from home. I have been researching work at home sites for well over 5 years now, blogging about it for two, I can spot a scam from a mile away, however, this one got me, I really thought it was real and if it had not been for the $197 price tag, I would not have hesitated to invest in the program.
The first thing that I found odd after taking a closer look was the example that she gave on her site. The site shows the retail price of a TV at $1199.00 and the wholesale price is $762.84 with a difference of $437. This means that even if the listing sells for $200 under retail price there is over $200 of profit to be made, so why am I only getting paid only $13 to list this item?
I think I know the answer to that, it could be that Cathy Banks and Auction Work at Home is running an eBay Proxy scheme. In this method they pay unsuspecting people a good amount of money to post items on eBay using their personal accounts. When the auction sells they do not deliver the item you are now responsible for refunding the money the customer, the ebay fees and your reputation is shot.
I do not believe this a good work at home program if you look at it up close.
