If you use mylot to earn money online, please read this important message from the mylot admin:
It has come to our attention that a fellow myLot user is trying to abuse the myLot private messaging system in order to gain access to others personal information. We are taking action to stop this as quickly as we can, but in the meantime always ensure you are signing into the real myLot by looking at your browsers address bar. If it is the genuine myLot you will see www.myLot.com/ possibly followed by some referring characters. If you are in doubt as to the validity of the link just type www.mylot.com into your browser and you can be confident that you will be logged into the real myLot. The current link in question is mylot.freehostia.com. This is not a valid myLot link and should not be trusted.
If you are not a member of mylot, let me explain the service to you:
MyLot wants their users to help the website explode, and to reward you they will pay you every time you use myLot! Users are the most valuable asset to the longevity of any website so why only provide them with a service, why not reward them financially?
Their goal is to provide Internet users a place to earn money using the web on a day to day basis. It's easy, sign up and start discussions, post responses or comments to current discussions, news or blogs, or refer friends!
Honestly, I like MyLot, I get to help people and take part in conversations and then they pay me it is a win win for everyone. Again you are not going to get rich, but it is a little something extra.

When I became a mom, I started a quest for a "Work at Home" program that would allow me to stay at home. I decided to start this blog to share my experience so hopefully you can avoid the same mistakes and frustrations that I encountered. StatCounter - Making Money From Your Web Site or Blog
There have been a number of posts regarding how to get traffic to your web site on this blog. However, I have never covered how to monitor that traffic and make sure that your methods are really working.
Adsense (a great way to make money from your site) is OK at keeping track of your traffic but it does not get into a great amount of detail. Where is the traffic coming from, how long was it on your site, how did it leave your site.
I order to keep track of these things, I use StatCounter. It is a free service (with a paid upgrade option) that will traffic to your site and give you all the details your need to properly promote your site and start earning money.
Basically you follow these steps to get started:

Earning Money with AW Surveys
Back in November of 2007 I posted an article on AW Surveys and I wanted to follow it up with new information that I learned.
The key to making money with AW Surveys is getting referrals. You are paid $1.25 for each person that you send to the site and they join. In addition you are paid $1 to $6 per web site review completely.
Honestly, I don't receive that many web site to review, however, they have a great section of other survey sites that you can join for free and earn extra money. The list of sites well worth signing up for.
Here is the official information on AW Surveys:
Wanted: Web Reviewers
AW Surveys is in search of men and women to participate in online website reviews. This company has need of honest web reviewers. Marketing companies have built advertisements of their products and services for on-line viewing for specific target groups.
These companies are actively seeking participants to review their ads to test their marketing ability. Your duties would be to visit websites and give your honest opinion of different ads. You are paid on the amount of advertisements you review for each company.
There is absolutely no obligation to purchase any of these advertisements yourself, nor must you pay anything to participate. You must simply visit their website. Your sole responsibility is to review the advertisements for each company.
Please note that this is not a full time job. You participate when your schedule allows you to. You will be paid $6 for your first review up to $75 (depending on how many advertisements you review) Payments are made once a month.
Requirements:
1. You must be organized
2. Able to commit to at least 1 hour a day (to work)
3. Have a computer with Internet connection
4. Can follow precise instructions.
Please remember, that membership at A.W. Surveys is totally free. No membership fees or other out of pocket expenses will ever be required of you.

The Millionaire Maker
I am sure that everyone has heard the commercials on the radio for Loral Langemeier, the author of “The Millionaire Maker”.
After completing research on her and her book I learned that she has a decent following among her peers and other people believe that the information provided in her books is simplistic and the tips given are just not realistic and could even cause harm than good.
I believe that her books lack the step-by-step instructions that the average person needs when trying something new. One of the big points of the book is starting a business and working for yourself, however, there are no details on how to obtain this goal. I need guidance not ideas.
In addition, I feel that her ideas are unrealistic for the average person. In her team building section of the book she advised everyone to get a support team of Lawyers, CPAs, Brokers and Investors. As an average person, this information doe not helpful because I can not afford to pay these professionals to tutor and guide me.
The only truly useful part of the book was its motivation aspects. By the time you are done reading the book, you will want to pursue a business opportunity or research an investment.
Taken as a whole, her book can help to motivate you and put you in the right mind set but I feel that it will not help you accomplish the goals.

Defining Data Entry Jobs and Data Entry Programs
I found this article: Defining Data Entry Jobs and Data Entry Programs By: S McIntyre, I thought you would enjoy it.
Every day at least one person will ask if a particular data entry job is legit.
Every day at least one person will ask to find a data entry position.
Data entry jobs are the most desired, most favourable and most sought after position online. You will hear often data entry jobs are rare, few and far between and it's true. If that's the case, why do you see them scattered online so much?
Here's the difference between data entry jobs and data entry programs.
Data Entry Jobs
Data entry keyers inputs lists of data (alpha and numeric) into a spreadsheet or computerized database. Most reputable companies hire based on keyboarding skills, keystrokes per hour (KPH), accuracy and speed. These positions also require a cover letter and resume from the applicant and the applicant may be asked to take a typing test. They never ask you to pay for registration or training material fees.
Data Entry Programs
These are the ones people always ask about...especially for its legitimacy. Anything that promises or guarantees high returns for very little work is mostly a scam. I say mostly because the word scam is thrown around in a much too general way...just like the words data entry is.
These are not real data entry work or positions per se. These are business opportunities or programs which require upfront fees. The websites are colourful, bold and they almost always have screenshots of how much money can be made each day.
So, where's the data entry?
These programs consist of using Clickbank, a retailer of digital products. You would sign up for a free account with Clickbank, choose a digital product and then use Google Adwords (pay-per-click) to promote. Filling out the information on Adwords is where these companies label it data entry. Misleading? Yes to a point because primarily you're selling a product; you're an affiliate and you're not paid for the information you input, but you're paid a commission based on how many sales you make.
Is it legitimate? I would not pay for something I know I could do free. They may throw in some e-books to help you become a better affiliate, but the Internet is a huge source of information and all of it can be found for free.
Now you know the difference between data entry jobs and programs pretending to be data entry, there are real companies who pay you as an Independent Contractor or employee. Although these highly wanted positions aren't so readily available or highly publicized, don't give up on your search. Don't stop looking because your desired job may be just around the corner.

Are All Work at Home Reviews Real
I have been seeing a new trend on the Internet. Affiliate Marketers are creating web sites that "review" Work at Home programs so you will buy the program from their site. (No this is not one of those sites).
So how can you tell the difference between someone who is trying to help you and someone who is trying to sell you something?
The easiest way for me is by evaluating whether they really tell you anything new about the program that you can not figure out by reading the sales page. Many people tell you all about a program by regurgitating what it says on the sales page, but not giving you any further information.
In addition, if you find multiple sites that pretty much say the same thing, then they are trying to sell you the product, not help you find work at home.
A good example of both of these is "The Top Secret Magic Code". Google it and read the reviews, then read my review, http://bytemi.blogspot.com/2008/08/top-secret-magic-code.html.
Do you see the difference? I bought the program, I tried to use the program and I told you what happened.
I felt that everyone should be aware of these two things, so when you are doing your research you know what to key in on and what you can ignore.

New Way to Earn Money with ClixSense
The newest way to earn money on Clixsense is to use the ClixGrid: Click to Win!
ClixGrid is easy to play! Just click within the image shown on the screen. Each time you click you have a chance to win a prize (up to $5.00) that goes directly into your ClixSense balance! When you click the image a new window will open. If that click is not a winner then you will be shown a page submitted by one of the advertisers. If your click is a winner then you will receive a page telling you how much you have won!
Premium members have up to 50 chances to win every day!
Free members have up to 20 changes to win every day!
For those of you who are not currently a member of Clixsense, if it a paid to read e-mails web site or paid to surf, depends on how you look at it.
I have been a member of ClixSense now for over a year, I have received a payout each month of at least $10.
I have been receiving a number of e-mails asking whether it is worth the upgrade when joining ClixSense (there is a $10 premium member fee or you can just join as a free member). I have to say, honestly, it was well worth the money.
After paying the $10, I instantly received 598 web site to review ranging from 10 cents a site to 1 cent a site. Since upgrading I have easily cleared $30 a month. The key is to check back often. I check my ClixSense account about once every two hours and I always have new web sites to visit. For the first month after the upgrade, I honestly could not keep up with all the web sites that were being assigned to me.
If you are interested in Paid to Click sites, this is a great site and you will definitely earn money. Click here for more information.
