Holiday Tips - From Work at Home Jobs

There is no place like home for the holidays. And when hosting overnight guests, you want them to feel "at home" too. Feeling stressed as you prepare? No worries. I'd like to share some quick hints on how to make holiday visits more enjoyable for you and your guests.

Extend Specific Invitations. A visit is more comfortable when everyone knows arrival and departure times. Therefore make your invitation cordial yet clear. This helps you to prepare and to avoid that awkward moment of having to ask guests when they will be leaving.

Sent an Agenda: Find out your guests' interests and plan activities accordingly. Be flexible and don't overdo it. And, share your own schedule to help manage expectations about entertaining.

Plan Sleeping Arrangements: Assign sleeping quarters ahead of time. Then family members know what to expect, especially if they are being temporarily displaced. It also gives you time to prepare rooms and get any extra items like air mattresses, blankets, etc.

Add Special Touches: Set the tone for your guests' stay with "niceties." Things like a reading light, alarm clock, clothes hangers, an extra blanket, and personal toiletries in the bathroom all go a long way to making others feel welcomed.

Orient Your Guests: Show your house guests where to find things like extra towels or pillows. Familiarize them with light switch locations and operations of appliances like the coffeemaker and microwave.

Finally, just be yourself. Your guests will have a much better time when you are relaxed and having a good time. Remember, you can't and won't anticipate everything. So go with the flow!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for welcoming me into your home this year through my blog. It is my distinct honor to be your trusted source for learning about ways to earn money at home, and I sincerely wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday!
