Surf Junky (www.surfjunky.com) is a service that lets you earn money simply by browsing the web. The information on the site is vague to say the least, but from the way I read it, basically you open a web page and allow their autosurf to run and they you 0.45 an hour and when you reach the $25 minimum payment, they send you a check.
So the question I had was, can you earn money just by having a browser running? And the most important question: will surf junky actually pay you, or is it all a scam?
The answer is that you're probably not going to make any money this way because it doesn't appear that Surf Junky is very good about paying anyone. Apparently they have a habit of cancelling accounts that approach the $25 minimum payment.
The best part of it all is that if you sign up with them, you have to give them your e-mail address and authorized them to send you spam.
So you leave your browser up all day making them money, when you get close to payout, they cancel your account and accuse you of cheating and you get an inbox full of spam.
There are plenty of legitimate ways to make a few bucks on the Internet, please note I did note say get rich or become a millionaire, but ways to make a few extra bucks.

Folks, you really have got to read agreements! It's all right there in their "terms" agreement. Here's the crucial part (from the terms link on the first page) pasted directly from their site:
"Surf Junky is currently in a beta testing phase. Members will be notified by email when Surf Junky is no longer in the beta phase of it's development. Any credit or commission earned during this beta testing time shall not be considered as payable income."
Duh! They just said they're NOT! going to pay you. Is it a scam? Debatable. Maybe enough people in "beta" complained about not getting paid and they just never finished it. At any rate they state clearly that they are not currently paying any of you.
I can't stress enough how important it is to READ all agreements with a company you know nothing about. This is the same reason so many people are defaulting on home loans they didn't read and research. aka A.R.M.'s (ADJUSTABLE rate mortgages) key word being adjustable, read between the lines in legal terms the word Adjustable is DANGEROUS for you. There is legitimacy out there you have to sift for it.
I apologize if the terms were worded differently when any of you signed up. But my guess is they didn't. People often overlook a careful study of a contract they're about to sign or an agreement they're about to accept. I've done it too. It is best to accept terms without reading when you know a little more about who you are dealing with.

This really sucks....my account is over $200 so what your saying is that I will never see that money? That is not right.....They shouldn't be allowed to do that....
I agree they shouldn't be allowed to do this and I have no idea how they get away with it.
I hope that my site helps people avoid scams like this one and find honest real ways to earn money on the internet.
surfjunky.com must pay...............................
